How do I create a penpAI?
Tap the penpAIs tab at the bottom of the app, then tap the + button. Give your penpAI a name, a personality, a language, and optionally a domain expertise. That's it — they'll start texting you based on the frequency you set.
Why is my penpAI not texting me?
A few things to check: make sure you have notifications enabled for PenpAI in your device settings, that you have words saved in your word bank, and that you have at least one penpAI set up. Don't worry — a penpAI is automatically created when you sign up, so you should be good to go from day one.
How do I save words to my word bank?
Tap any word or phrase in a conversation to translate it, then tap Save. Your penpAIs will start weaving those words back into future messages naturally — no drilling, no flashcards.
What languages are supported?
PenpAI currently supports English (UK & US), French, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese (Simplified), and Greek. More languages are on the way.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to your profile in the app, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account — it's directly beneath Sign out. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately. No waiting, no hoops.
How much does it cost?
PenpAI includes a free trial so you can explore before committing. See our pricing page for full details.
Is my data private?
Yes. We collect only the bare minimum needed to make the service work well. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties, and deleted immediately upon request. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Can I change my birth year?
Birth year is set once at signup and cannot be changed self-serve — it's used to ensure the app behaves appropriately for your age group. If you entered the wrong year, contact us at support@penpai.app and we'll sort it out manually.
